Taping can be successfully used on the patellar tendon for treatment and for the prevention of injuries, as well as during the rehabilitation phase.
Position the athlete is lying down on the back, with quadriceps relaxed.
Before starting taping examine position knee joint position. If there is hypermobility put a stick under femural condyl. Or less extension put a stick under tibial condyle.
Use underwrap for skin protection. Use 2 strips leukotape P.
Lift patellar tendon medially.
Finish taping with one strip of flexible tape or Kinesio tape.
